Main building

The meeting venue and all lectures will take place in the building of Faculty of Mathematics and Physics (mainly computer science departments of the Faculty are located here) at Malostranské náměstí 2/25, Prague. Below you can find an interactive map displaying the location of the building.

The lectures will take place in the lecture hall S5 (2nd floor), the registration will take place in room S6 (2nd floor). The is a Wi-Fi network in the building, you will be given a username and password at the beginning of the school.

How to reach the meeting venue?

From the Prague Airport, "Letiště Václava Havla" (PRG)

By public transport (approx. 40 min): Take bus No. 119 from the Airport Terminal 1 or 2 to its final stop NÁDRAŽÍ VELESLAVÍN, then take metro Line A to MALOSTRANSKÁ station (4 stops). Take Tram No 12, 20 or 22 from MALOSTRANSKÁ stop to MALOSTRANSKÉ NÁMĚSTÍ stop (1 stop) The meeting venue is in front of the MALOSTRANSKÉ NÁMĚSTÍ stop - see the map.

By taxi: Recommended companies are AAA or RadioCAB (FIX Airport cars) – yellow cars waiting outside the arrival halls of both terminals. The cost to the meeting venue should be around 400 CZK.

From the main railway station "Hlavní nádraží"

By public transport (approx. 25 min): Take metro Line C to MUZEUM station (1 stop), then change to metro Line A to MALOSTRANSKÁ station (3 stops). Take Tram No 12, 20 or 22 from MALOSTRANSKÁ stop to MALOSTRANSKÉ NÁMĚSTÍ stop (1 stop) The meeting venue is in front of the MALOSTRANSKÉ NÁMĚSTÍ stop - see the map.

By taxi: The cost to the meeting venue from the main railway station should be around 200 CZK.

Using public transport

Before you get on the bus, tram or metro you have to buy a ticket – you can choose a ticket for 24 CZK valid for 30 min., 32 CZK valid for 90 min., 110 CZK valid for 24 hours or 310 CZK valid for 72 hours. Tickets can be bought in the Prague Public Transport booths which are located in the arrival halls of both Airport Terminals (credit cards are accepted there). It is also possible to buy the tickets from vending machines at the bus stops (only coins are accepted there) or at newsagents. You have to validate your ticket by a validator before (or during) your first trip. Validators in undeground are located at the entrance. If you travel by bus or tram, you will find a few validators inside any vehicle.

Full information about the public transport system is available at www.dpp.cz. All public transport runs between 5 am and midnight, everyday, reasonably often (metro every 5–15 min., buses max. 20 min).

Passport and Visa Requirements

Visitors from non-EU countries must possess a passport valid for at least three months after the end of the conference. Participants requiring a visa should apply immediately to the consular office or embassy of the Czech Republic in their country in order to avoid inconvenience. Please note that the visa application procedure can take up to two months. For more detailed information please see: Ministry of Foreign Affairs' website.

The conference secretariat assists the delegates by processing the official invitation upon request. This letter of invitation, however, constitutes neither any obligation by the secretariat of the congress nor by the organizing committee to cover any travel and accommodation expenses, fees or other costs connected with attending the meeting and staying in the Czech Republic.
